January 20, 2010 - 10:38 pmRUSTIN MICHAEL - Thanks for the suggestion. A good post for this time of the year. Hopefully I will get it up in the next couple of weeks.
January 20, 2010 - 10:33 pmChristopher Wren - Hi Rustin! I would love to see a blog post on "what's in your bag". Lenses are people too, you know.
It’s the end of another great year. This past year I shot some amazing weddings. I feel like I have done my best work so far in 2009, and look forward to applying some of the things I have learned to 2010 and beyond. There are so many wedding images I have shot this past year that I am proud to call my own. It was hard for me to narrow down my selection to just 10 of my favorites. I could even say that at least 5 of my top ten could be different depending on the day I put this list together. Here are my favorites from last year as selected today. I hope you like them!
January 4, 2010 - 4:06 pmHeather Disarro - my favorite is the one with all of the red balloons...can you say WOW?! love your photography, and can't wait to see more amazing photos!
December 31, 2009 - 12:00 amRUSTIN MICHAEL - Austin... I had 5 that I knew right off the bat. The other 5, I had to choose from 50 or so, I put in a favorites folder. That was the hard part.
December 30, 2009 - 11:32 pmChristine Bentley - Rustin, you are so very talented and doing a fantastic job! I love your photos and can see how this was a very difficult decision cause you are so fab! You will do amazing as well in 2010...wow man, seriously how can you get much better! ?? XXOO See you soon!
December 30, 2009 - 4:07 pmJessica Conroy - Love it ! Definitely some of my favorites!
December 30, 2009 - 3:27 pmAustin Curtis - nice selection Rustin! I know that's hard, but maybe I'll take a swing at it too. How long did it take you to choose?
Last week I received my first sample album from the album manufacturer KISS. KISS markets itself as “the worlds simplest book company.” I love how fast and easy it is to place an order with them and the 3 week turnaround which is outstanding in the album business. Even though they are fast and simple, their quality is definitely up there with the best in the industry.
KISS doesn’t offer a ton options like other album companies. They offer hard or soft books in 4 sizes 4×4, 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12 and 7 colors. I love how their books are simple, classic, and elegant. These are just a couple of the reasons why KISS is my preferred album company. Here are a few images of my 12×12 hard sample album I made from Ryan & Lisa’s October Stone Manor wedding.
The albums are delivered with this sweet looking dust cover.
I love the lay flat binding with no gap across the spread.
You might remember a couple months ago I posted the first trailer for the documentary I am working on “American Marriage” here on my blog. This week we released a 10 minute extended trailer for the film. The new trailer is what we are using to apply for grants to finance the film and gives insight about some of the topics we will be covering. Below you can watch the new extended trailer in it’s entirety.
Please head over to Facebook and become a fan of the movie, make sure you tell your friends to do the same. The more fans we have the more likely we will be able to sell the complete film allowing it to reach a wide audience across the US. We are still filming and plan on completing the film Summer 2010 before the entry deadline for Sundance. Hopefully this time next year I will be planning a trip to Utah.
