Last Saturday I had a blast capturing Emily & David’s wedding day. The day started off at the Embassy Suites in Downey, with Emily getting ready. By the time we left the hotel and headed over to Moravian Church for the ceremony, the forecasted clouds started to thin, and the sun started to peak through providing some beautiful light. The day ended with a formal reception at Rio Hondo Country Club.
My friend Brian Hamilton of Suite M came to assist me for the day. It was such a blast working with him, I hope we can do it again soon. Not only did Brian assist me but he also connected me with this fun couple. Brian is the owner and main photographer at Suite M Photography. Among being an awesome photographer, he also is an all around great guy. He is the first person I recommend if I am already booked.
Here are just a few of my favorites from Emily & David’s wedding.

The ceremony. Emily’s dad giving her away.

Just married!

I love this next shot of David, especially with the sepia toning.

Once again I am glad the clouds cleared up and the sun came out.

On Easter Sunday I headed over to Downtown Disney in Anaheim to shoot Cesar and Natalie’s engagement session. We managed to get the session in between a big earthquake and a rain storm. Even with these natural speed bumps the crowds were still out in full force making it challenging to find locations without a ton of people around. Easter along with Christmas tend to be some of the busiest days for Disneyland. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.
A few at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa where Cesar & Natalie will be getting married this fall.

The rest are from Downtown Disney.

Stacey Meineke put together the most amazing program for the Hope in the City fashion show. Over 1000 people were handed one as they entered the show 2 weeks ago. I love the simple design and haw large the photos are.
Here is the cover along with some pages from the magazine featuring my photos.

Last week I photographed the runway of the Hope in the City 2010 Fashion Show at Vibiana in downtown LA. Make sure you check out my previous posts about Hope in the City.

The runway at Vibiana just before the start of the show. I would love to shoot a wedding at Vibiana, it is such a beautiful venue. Hopefully that opportunity will come sooner than later.

Our hosts for the evening Hank Fortener & Jeannie Mia

The show started off with outfits made out of 85% paper. It is incredible what the designers could do with something so ordinary as newspaper. The designer is lsted above each image.
